Why 100bestbuy is a fraud Online Shopping company?

We had ordered a set of 5 Koutons shirts from 100bestbuy on 13th December 2013 for Rs 1134. We had paid through net banking and were promised that the product would be delivered in 2-3 business days. As soon as we typed our mobile number in their order form, we got a call from them informing us about similar deals and asking us to pay them Rs 8000 for the next 2 years of shopping with them and we would have a chance of winning a laptop or a tablet. But we declined their offer and proceeded to paying for the Koutons shirts. As soon as the transaction got completed, that was the last we heard from them. Even though the money was promptly debited from our account, we didn’t get a confirmation message from them. All we got was a mail in which only a Reference number was provided (28145732). We also never got any kind of intimation (mails or messages) from them regarding the shipment details or whether the product had been dispatched.

Other sites such as Amazon and Flipkart are not only very prompt with the delivery, they also keep us informed about the status of the order. But 100bestbuy is one big fraudulent company and we realized it only too late. And so began the waiting period which resulted in a lot of mental turmoil. Rs 1134 isn’t such a big amount that we could lose much sleep over and approach the consumer court nor was it a small amount that we could afford to let go. So we persistently called them and kept complaining to them. All that we got was “your product will be delivered in 2 days sir” or “we don’t have the product. We will send it as soon as we get it from the store” or “we have already sent it. It is the couriers’ fault”. The excuses kept piling and they were never consistent. One time they even said “we don’t have a record of your order. Send us the payment proof first”. That was the last straw. We decided to approach the consumer court after trying one last time. So we sent them a mail attaching with it all the details of the payment and also informing them we would be taking legal action if they give a stupid lie or excuse one more time.

So after waiting 3 more days we were delivered the product on 14th January 2014 (32 days after ordering). That is not even the worst part. Out of the 5 shirts, only 2 were Koutons. The other 3 were some unknown, unbranded shirts and two of them even had stains on the collars and the cuffs. When we complained yet again, they asked us to return the product but they wouldn’t give us a refund. All that they would give us was store credit. Even though we were very upset and angry, we didn’t want anything to do with their company ever again so we kept quiet and decided to keep the shirts. Very very disappointed with them. Please don’t buy from them. They cause a lot of mental turmoil for the customers and you won’t even know if you will get the product or not, so much so that when the product finally arrives, you decide to keep it however bad it is because you don’t want another month of trouble from them. This is a fraud company; please stay away from them.
