Bajaj FinServ EMI Card Issues – A Review

I had requested for an EMI Card paying Rs 250/- since June-2013, when i had purchased 2 Air conditioners using Bajaj Finserv’s EMI plan. Now after 3 EMIs being paid off, on not receiving the card, I contacted the Toll free Customer Care number for the card and was told that the Address as mentioned in the form by the Executive on floor during purchase of the card was incomplete and hence the card was not delivered. After that a request for updating the correct address was made by me on 2nd November, 2013 and had a discussion for the same with Mr. Saurabh, the Manager in-charge of the Customer care toll free number. However, even after that the Address was not updated and was just said that the request was taken and to wait for 48 hours. After a few days when i contacted back, I was told that as I am in Ahmedabad the address needs to be verified by the Staff in Ahmedabad for which I would get a call in 48 hours and then the card will be issued. Till then I was advised to get my card blocked, which was blocked on 11/12/2013. I didn’t get the call for verification as usual. On contacting again, I requested the customer care executive to get the verification call made so that I can get the call. This time, the next day I received a verification call and I dictated him the Entire Correct Address from my side. Even after this, I didn’t receive the card. Hence in Mid of December I contacted the customer care again asking the Status of the EMI card. On asking the same, the customer care executive again confirmed the details and found that the PIN CODE, even after updating and verified by the staff, was wrongly written. I was again asked to wait for 48 hours to get the PIN CODE updated. Now on 22/12/2013 I received a message indicating that your card request is taken and you would get the card once your 4 EMIs are paid. So in that case my 4 EMIs are already paid. They are not even verifying the loan details. And now, after continuously waiting for the “48 hours” time frame, it is already more than 3 months when I am following up for the amount I had paid 6 months back and each time wasting my time in verifying each and every details viz my cell no. Date of Birth, Bank name etc. The Customer Care Executives with whom i have communicated earlier are listed below: Ms. Saanvi Mr. Sandeep Mr. Prashant Ms. Jayshree and Mr Saurabh (Floor Manager) I even worte a mail to them on wecare@bajajfinserv.in on 25th December, 2013 and was replied that you would get the card at a max of 7-10days. Now on 31st they dispacthed the card via Bluedart viz WayBill no. 43285115941 and it was returned back to BAJAJ Finserv reasoning as provided by the Blue Dart Customer Care was INCOMPLETE ADDRESS by Bajaj.And even today I have not received it. Even on contacting the Corporate Office today, i.e on 3rd January, 2014 via phone, they just disconnected the call without listening the complete matter.

The EMI card is made for the customer as to whenever I would purchase any other product using the finance service of Bajaj Finserv, I would not have to get all my documents verified again and again. And now, when I wanted to purchase an electronic item, I was again asked to produce all my documents. Hence, I didnot opt for the same and paid Cash. Now, after 15th this month in January, I want to purchase an iPhone on EMI scheme and now if i again need to produce the documents then whats the justification for the EMI Card i had opted way back in June itself and had paid for the same. Consumer opts for EMI plan when and only when he doesnot have that much cash to get the product on Cash and if after paying for such EMI Card, if a consumer is mentally harassed and is not able to buy a product using such financial service, then its a mere cheating with customer. I have attached the A/c Bill which includes the amount for EMI Card. and even the name and Contact no. of the Bajaj executive on floor there who took our details for the card is also written.

I just want my EMI card within this 10 days as i want to purchase a phone using the Financial Services of the same BAJAJ Finserv, but without producing my documents again and again and using the EMI Card for which I have paid 6 months back.
