Tuton Crafts – Mementos – Review

That we had placed a verbal order on M/s Tuton Crafts for supply of 65 no mementos to Nalco Officers’ Club, Angul after dealing with Mr Gyanendra Mallick. The mementos were supposed to be given away to the excellent performers in an in house dance competition on 29.12.2016. An amount of Rs 11000/- (full amount) was paid in advance and M/s Tuton Crafts. They were asked to deliver the mementos by 26.12.2016, as it was not possible on our part to check and receive the mementos at their office / works. That the mementos were supplied by them on 28.12.2016 instead of 26.12.2016. To our utter dismay the quality of the mementos was very very poor. Those were not up to a standard to present to the performers. We were really shocked to see those mementos. Moreover we had hardly 24 hours in our hand. Immediately we placed order on another party who could supply the mementos on 30.12.2016. We were forced to defer the prize distribution to 30.12.2016. That the matter was immediately informed to Mr Gyanendra Mallick over telephone. It was also communicated that we would not be able to use those mementos and those would be returned to them. That the mementos were returned to Mr Gyanendra Mallick on 08.01.2017 and he was requested to refund the amount. Though he took back the rejected mementos he did not refund the amount.
